I wanna make it clear...

I never intended to, nor do I plan to stop Weight Watchers.

I was only trying to say.....

....I am freaked out about the next goal.

I only had 1.4lbs to make my 10% goal.....
....but I'd be willing to bet that it's not going to happen this week.

Thanks for the encouraging words.

That is OKAY if you do not make it this week....slow down you roll baby (Nellyville) You know it takes time so okay you do not make it this week but just make up you mind and do it next week. I was watching TLC and this show was helping 2 people change their lives by weight loss and they had a gradual weight loss of like 30 pounds over 6 months. You are kicking that all over the place...but my point in telling you this is the fact the slower the weight loss the more likely you will keep it off according to the show. That is my whole point...slow your roll and you will keep it off. I wish we could press the easy button and both be wearing a 10 by say New years...hmm but any there is no easy button and do not freak about the next goal just set your mind to what needs to be done. It is better that you are loosing weight out in kansas because I would be dragging you A@@ to get creme brulee..again you hooked me. Well anyway JUST REMEMBER TAKE IT SLOW AND IT WILL COME.

No one said you were stopping. I think we all just gave a pep talk. Mine was from my days as an LA Weightloss Leader...sorry if it seemed to imply that you were quiting. I haven't either but just took a few weeks off...you have to do what's best for you.

Every major and even minor achievements have set-backs and this one is a small one. You can do it! I'm coaching a jv volleyball team this season and is the major reason I have been so busy these last weeks...anyway I put my girls through a mental program that I went through when I played volleyball at PLU. It was taught to us by a guy named Dave Templin who is a sports psychologist and was the Olympic track team's mental coach before coming out to PLU. He is a personal hero of mine because not only did his program change my volleyball game, it changed my life. One of the ideas he taught me is to "compare yourself to your best self." In sports it is easier to figure out because girls will look at other players and rank themselves as good or bad. In real life it means that it is hard to over come outside pressures. Or even pressures that we place on ourselves. Like it seems to me you feel pressure to meet this last goal and it caused you to sabotage yourself. Now you know your habits and know what you are capable of. You know that you sometimes sabotage yourself. This becomes your current standard. It isn't "good" or "bad" it's just you! You know it will happen again, so create a game plan as to what you are going to do next time to minimize the sabotage. Like maybe instead of eating Chinese for both dinner and breakfast, have the dinner but send the left-overs with Ike. Think of it as a set of stairs. Next time you won't be at the top of the stair but you will have climbed a few. And then your standards are your own and your expectations are realistic, and you don't have to beat yourself up when it happens again because you have established that every time it does it will be at a lesser degree until you have slowly but surely eliminated the bad habit. And you can do it without the guilt and pain of failure. You are a beautiful wonderful person that can overcome this speed bump! I hope this helps and if you want any more of his program, just let me know, I can email it to you!
