Have you ever felt like you are carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders?

....when something is troubling you, but you can't talk about it?
Because it's just too personal.
Because it's just too scary.
Just because...

Well, that's where I am.

I'm in hell.

Don't worry, I'll be fine. I just have to get thru this.
And within a few months, things should be better.

Don't ask me to tell you what it is, because I can't.

Just pray for me.
Send me your good thoughts.
Just think about me and be around for me when you can.

I'll probably never tell anyone what it is.
Because later, it will be irrelevant.

But for now,
it's weighing me down.

I am so sorry Roxann. Trust me, I know exactly how you feel. I have been carrying around a weight of my own for some time now and it has really made me a bear to be around. I see it and I realize I am doing it, but I can't seem to do anything about it. It is just a fact of my life right now that will not go away. I had a meditation in my email this morning that helped some. I don't know if it will apply to your situation but wanted to share:

"Peace of mind comes when you appreciate what you have. As we grow up, we start to obsess that our families, partners, homes, cars and jobs need fixing. It is true that some tweaking may be in order; but this kind of focus may make you dwell on what is missing in your life. "If I only had..." It's this internal dialogue that makes peace of mind so elusive. Only when you feel thankful for something can you become more fulfilled and peaceful. Accept what you have and where you are with gratitude. Feel thankful and you will get more peaceful."

A Fully Functioning Woman
My friend Edna used to make me smile with her replies when people asked her when she was going to get married. One time she said, in response to the when-will-you-get-married question, “Oh, he died in the war.” The person gulped and mumbled, “Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know.” Then Edna said, “He must have, he never showed up!” It was all I could do to keep from giggling out loud. Edna has a great perspective on life. She has lived as a fully functioning woman with great joy even though she is single. (Or maybe I should say because she is single.)

The principle truth that every woman has to grab hold of, whether single, married, divorced, or widowed is this: You are valuable just because you are you. God has plans for you just because you are you. You came into the world alone, you will leave alone, and you will give an account—alone. The relationships you develop along life’s journey may be highly significant and part of God’s plan, but they do not define you. You are precious by yourself and God is crazy about you.
