THE FUN CONTINUES.......

So, remember in my last update I said it was still pouring.....well, all night long THE NEWS DIRECTOR aka Big Daddy was getting phone calls from the station about all the severe weather and flooding. So, we are getting broken sleep. At 4:45am, he decides he needs to go ahead and go into work.

He takes a shower and goes downstairs to iron a shirt. And about 10 minutes later he comes upstairs to tell me that Logan and Jensen's room is completely flooded...side to side and front to back and now the laundry room (which is big) is flooded, as well!!! Well....literally, I am half-asleep and I said, "What did you just say?!"

So, we now OFFICIALLY HAVE 1/2 of our entire downstairs in standing water. ONE HALF OF OUR DOWNSTAIRS IS COMPLETELY FLOODED AND IT'S STILL POURING RAIN RIGHT NOW.

WE ARE SCREWED.

Seriously, I am freaking out. (Not to mention I've been bawling for an hour, while I clean up all the piles of clothes that are standing in water.)

So, because I'm all wound up, I'm blogging at 5:58am, instead of going back to sleep. Good grief. :-o

I'm so sorry! I can't even imagine what you are going through right now - I know I would be FREAKING OUT! I guess it's good that at least you guys know how to handle it when it happens (wet/dryvac/sandbags/fan)...I wouldn't have had a clue. I feel so bad for the boys too...keep us updated.

Well, here's how you look at this. New carpet, maybe new paint, and possibly a new very large washer and dryer to handle all the extra laundry. You get the boys closer to you. And, you get to see that yes, God gives you a LOT to handle, but not more than you can. He just thought you needed a project to keep you buisy. And, everything will work out to your benefit. Look at the good in the panick, and you will feel better (maybe, I hope so)! Love you! I'll be praying!

Okay.....Look at it this way. Geogia was just a practice run preparing you for this big moment. If anyone can handle flooding and lack of sleep.....Its you. I have 110% confindence that you can handle this. In a few months we'll be laughing at this. Hang in there, Chin up.....God has given you a project so you won't be dwelling on other things. At least you are still able to blog!! I really wish I was there to give you a hug.... a big Ol' bear hug girlie.

PS.......Please tell me all your scrap albums are upstairs, safe and dry!!!!

HOLY CRAP!!! Geez, next time you go exploiting little birdies to spice up your blog, remember not to mess with Mother Nature...apparently she holds a grudge! :)
