THE ICE.....

Camping out in the living room.....since it's on the upper floor (ya know...heat rises.....if you really want to call it that...since it was 56degrees in here!)
I just told them this was like Little House on the Prairie!!!!

The food I threw out from the refrigerator. Basically, if it said Refrigerate after Opening....it went in the trash. Because I have had food poisoning recently....and it's just not worth taking the chance. And I especially do not want my children to get it!!

You know, as long as you keep the door closed, food stays good up to 3 days after the power goes out. It's true, I learned that when we lost power in a hurricane when I was in high school. (hurricane Fran in Raleigh, NC)

The ice pictures are pretty, even though it was so destructive! Sorry you lost all that food. Couldn't ya just stick it outside?? (This coming from a Georgia girl.....??)

Yeah...put it outside in coolers of ice....that is what we use to do in VA...but then that bear and racoon did get in one cooler...huh..
