Well, CRAP!!!!!

.....so, guess who didn't realize it would take 4 days in the refrigerator for our 20lb. turkey to thaw?!?!?!?!?!

I was thinking if I pulled it out this morning and put it in the fridge, it would be ready to be baked tomorrow.

Um....wrong!

So, guess who's having chicken for Thanksgiving?!?!?!?!

DOUBLE CRAP!!!!!!!

Oh, yeah do what Sherry said...give it a nice warm bath. Everyone feels better after a bath right? :)
Happy thanksgiving!

Here's something from Turkey911:

But if you're running short on room (and time), you can just unwrap the bird and submerge it in a bucketor sink filled with cold water, figuring about 1 hour per pound. Change the water every 30 minutes.
Either way, the bird is thawed when it reaches an internal temp of 40 degrees -- determined by a temperature reading in the thickest part of the thigh, not touching any bones. Store the thawed turkey in the refrigerator until it's time to use.
And while we don't advise it, you can zap it in the microwave, providing you have one that's big enough. Cook it on low for 6 minutes per pound, rotatingand flipping periodically. You'll want to start your roasting right after, though, 'cause parts of the meat can actually start to cook with this technique.
